According to Aristotle, can: i. friendship be formed with an inanimate object. ii. friendship be formed between any two people iii. friendship be formed with an animal.

1) Friendship is defined by Aristotle as reciprocated goodwill; friendship cannot be formed with an inanimate object because you can't have reciprocated goodwill with an inanimate object.
2) Yes, friendship between two people can be based upon three different possibilites; goodness, pleasure and usefulness.
3) As for animals....... I can't find the exact quote for friendship, but he does say that.....
"love/eros can be had for things and animals as well as persons.
