What is unique about the liberal person relative to those exemplifying other virtues?

Aristotle says that the liberal person is uniquely “useful” because her money directly impacts those to whom she gives it. Although all the virtues are useful in some sense, i.e. for the common end of happiness, the immediacy with which liberality is useful is unique among the virtues.
