Which vice is more blameworthy—over-indulgence or cowardice?

Aristotle says that over-indulgence is motivated by pleasure, and cowardice by pain. Since pleasure is less distortive of voluntary disposition than pain, then, over-indulgence is easier to prevent voluntarily. Therefore, it seems to follow that over-indulgence is more blameworthy a vice.
