how is aristotle's ideal household structure properly established

Aristotle's ideal household is a microcosm of the city and its rule. It contains one's family who are treated in one way (the way a king might treat his subjects), one's slaves (who are treated in a harsher fashion) and oneself. Always, for Aristotle, the household has to operate the way a city would, only on a smaller scale.
