Please give the difference between the lessons from nature learnt by Duke senior and those learnt by Jaques...?
Act I, Scene II
Act I, Scene II
Jaques laments the wounded deer that Duke senior kills. Jaques seems to have this re-awakening with nature in the forest of Arden. He becomes a child of nature and contemplates the meanings in life. I don't think Duke Senior is yet affected by the wonders of the forest. He sees it as a place to hunt and escape his control. In the end the pastoral comedies always hold a certain enchantment in nature but it will take time for Duke Senior to be affected.
