Rosalind was the niece of duke fredrick wheras celia was the niece of duke senior & daughter of duke fredrick..

rosalind and celia shared the relation of cousins but there love was more effective than the natural bond of sisters .there fathers were real brothers but no where in the play we come to realise this relation on the other hand celia and rosalind being cousins were deeply attached to each other
