In what way could the stereotypes be negative or positive? to the characters, to the society, and to our personalities?

I usually don't think of stereotypes in terms of "positives." Most stereotypical remarks are biased and are discriminatory. Stereotypical speech is laced with bias, creates divisions in society, and have negative influences on who we are as people.
