Why is Grendel upset with the rejoicing at Herot Hall
Grendel is not a happy creature. He loathes his own lonely existence and hates to hear the joy and merriment of Herot Hall. He is filled with jealousy at the warm light, music, and laughter at Herot. Grendel wants to destroy this.
