Beowulf
Do you think Beowulf deeds make him a good role model why or why not give examples from the text

I think they make him a heroic role model in a very Viking sort of way. He is considered an epic hero. Epic heroes generally battle for good. They are brave, intelligent, skillful and almost superhuman. Beowulf definitely fits these criteria. Beowulf, for example, uses hand to hand combat against Grendel rather than weapons.
"I have heard moreover that the monster scorns
in his reckless way to use weapons;
therefore, to heighten Hygelac's fame
and gladden his heart, I hereby renounce
sword and the shelter of the broad shield,
the heavy war-board: hand-to-hand
is how it will be, a life-and-death
fight with the fiend."
