Beowulf
Is Wiglaf's relationship to Beowulf similar to Unferth's relationship to Hrothgar?

Wiglaf is completely loyal to Beowulf and is willing to lay down his life to help Beowulf defeat the dragon. Any loyal warrior would support his lord and would not question his King's orders. Unferth's relationship is somewhat more contentious.
Wiglaf cannot do anything except be loyal to Beowulf in the final scene and after the dragon infects Beowulf with his poison from his tusks, Wiglaf helps his master save his kingdom. Ultimately, Wiglaf is by the side of his master to the end. Unferth is simply a different personality and does not relate to Hrothgar as easily as does Wiglaf.
