The battle with Grendel

Grendel comes to take down all of the men in Hrothgar's palace. But this time Beowulf is "in the house." Beowulf is able to take Grendel down with a vicious battle, but done with his "hands" and his own strength. Ultimately, Beowulf rips Grendel's arm out of the socket and hangs it in the mead hall.
