The reveal that Hrothgar mixed both Pagan and Christian beliefs in their songs. The songs praised Gods and warriors. Hrothgar loved to celebrate and pay homage to war-like exploits of Vikings past and present. He was quite aware of how the spiritual factored into the success of his people.
