what is the weaknesses of the billy Budd novel

What we do know is that Billy Budd today is ranked as one of Melville's greatest works, and one of the greatest novels of the nineteenth century. It is difficult for me to fine literary weakness other than my own personal bias. Could you see any weakness? I think the question is asking for your opinion rather than mine.
