how is richard duped by the black boy he meets on the banks of the mississippi river?

The two boys find some bootleg liquor (a large can), and the boy Richard meets convinces him they should sell it. After selling the can to an unsuspecting white man, who pays them five dollars for the find.............. the boy takes off on the premise he's going to get change for the $5.00 bill so they can split it, and runs off instead. Richard is duped because he ends up with nothing.
