Is Antonio's mother, Maria, faithful or religious?

I think it's incorrect to say that Maria is religous. Her religion doesn't believe in such magic that Ultima posses, and it'll contradict her being religious. What's your opinion?

I think she is very religeous. Devoutly Catholic, she desperately wants Antonio to become a priest of the Luna instead of a vaquero like his father.
