Born a Crime

What are the important examples of language and syntax from this quote, and what’s their significance to the meaning of the quote?

When close reading the quote, “The hood made me realize that crime succeeds because crime does the one thing the government doesn’t do: crime cares...Crime offers internship programs and part-time jobs and opportunities for advancement. Crime gets involved in the community. Crime doesn't discriminate” (209), what are examples of important language and syntax, and what’s their significance to the meaning of the quote?

Trevor Noah is using crime as a metaphor to compare or juxtapose it to legitimate careers. He dryly comments on how crime offers the same perks as "respectable job" but doesn't discriminate. There is a strong sense of irony here.
