Describe some of the skills Linda is lacking, but are now nessessary, at the reservation.

Linda couldn't perform the tasks the women on the reservation had learned from birth. She was worthless to the women, and her service to the men, the only thing she could do, made enemies. Soma, alcohol, and mescal put Linda out for days.... she was incoherent most of the time, and she was not motherly. She did, however, teach John the skills she knew..... reading and writing. John had knowledge of both worlds.
