Why are only females sterilised in Brave New World, and comment on the attitude towards women present in A.F 632?

In the World State only two-thirds of women are sterilized. The act of sex and the act of procreation are two different things. Women are seen as the vessels who give life hence their reproductive systems are controlled. Women are highly linked with sex. Procreation is heavily controlled but the act of sex is encouraged in women to demystify and devalue the act itself. Women hence lose the nurturing role that is so important and merely become superficial facilitators of sex for an equally superficial male population.
