Catch 22 Chapter 5

I'm not sure what you mean, but the novel's language leaves the reader unsure of the setting. The events are jumbled, leaving us to ponder what happened in the past, what events will happen in the future, and most of all, what is happening in the moment. The author doesn't tell the story chronologically, thus, we as readers are left to construe the action on our own. As the novel progresses, we are given enough information to put it all together, but the process can prove to be daunting.
