I assume you mean "To the Reader" because of the questions surrounding this one. The mental picture it creates for me is a human being with a maelstrom of disaster inside of him. A frail body housing a tempest of creatures and devils and dark, dank sins swirling inside of us. Baudelaire personifies all of the vices, even talking of them as animals, and his deep description of them creates a creepy picture of those things inside of us. And then in the end, Ennui looks something like Jabba the Hut to me, just sitting in our gut smoking his hookah and looking around, not even with enough energy to laugh at our depravity.
