From the title, we can infer that Chinese Cinderella is a young girl with an evil step-mother and step-sisters..... maybe more than a few.

I think it prepares us for a young girl with step sisters, as in the normal Cinderella play. The significance of the title is to describe how she gets treated by the sisters or her mother.
