How does Fancy, according to Coleridge, differ from Imagination in its
functioning?
Unlike imagination, Coleridge does not believe that fancy is a creative power. He describes fancy as a mixture without unity, separate elements that haven't fused. Imagination creates new beauty, fancy is no more than stored images.
