Did Willy die the "Death of a Salesman"? Notice how Charley, Linda, Happy, and Biff all have quite different reactions to Willy's death. Which of these characters comes closest to a full understanding of Willy? Defend your opinion.

In the end, I think Happy best understands his father. Biff can't wait to get away, whereas, Happy plans to stay in the city and beat the racket, the same racket his father was up against, to show that Willy did not die in vain.
