After the conversation with Biff about his unsuccessful meeting with Bill Oliver, Happy tries tries to cover up the truth to protect Willy and keep his dreams intact. He says-

'Dad is never so happy as when he's looking forward to something!'

Biff is trying to tell th truth of the visit-

' Let's hold on to the facts tonight, Pop,'

But Happy indulges Willy's desire for his imaginary success for his son to be the truth-

WILLY: I'm out (driven) So tell he, he gave you a warm welcome?

HAPPY: Damn right!
