What lessons for democracy does Tocqueville draw from his reflections on aristocratic societies?

I am currently in the process of reading Democracy in America but am unclear on some of his ideas. One of the questions I will have to analyze will be: What lessons for democracy does Tocqueville draw from his reflections on aristocratic societies?

Anyone have any thoughts??
