Desiree's Baby
What is the author's most likely purpose for introducing the story through Madame Valmonde's point of view ?
I need it in a paragraph.

Madame Valmonde is reletively removed from much of the story so we can get a more objective view of the situation. This point of view allows Chopin's readers an intimate look and the thought and actions of each character. Madame Valmonde is Desiree's mother. Desiree, as an abandoned infant, was a gift to madame and her husband. She loved her unconditionally..... she was colorblind and without bias or prejudice. Thus, the ability to see the story through her eyes provides an intimacy we would not have if someone else were narrating.
