How does Utterson interpret the relationshp between jeckyll and hyde?

This really depends at what point in the story you are referring to. By the end, Utterson realizes the whole struggle between dark and light that Dr. Jeckyll was inflicted with. He understood Dr. Jeckyll’s draw to his dark side where he could break the bonds of his Victorian repression.
