Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde

This chapter raises more questions than answers. What are these? Can you offer any explanations?

Jekyll is defensive with Utterson because of his inquiries. He doesn't want to be found out, but he does appologize before Utterson leaves. We can infer that he knew his behavior was suspicious.

We have to ask why Hyde has such a hold over Jekyll.... what could the reason be?
