In the paragraph on pg. 140 that begins with the words "Ten days" and ends with the question "Who took it out?", what is the "it" to which Quincey Morris refers?

It actually reads "What took it out?" And "what" would be "who" as in Dracula. The gentlemen just aren't aware of that yet.
