Why doesnt Graff admit to Ender what he tells to Anderson: "The kid's wrong, I am his friend?"

Graff is a military man and Ender's superior. He cannot be Ender's "friend", the chain of command and military conditioning forbids this. Graff has to be dominant over Ender if he is to be trained properly.
