Who is Enrique?

Enrique is the protagonist of the story. After being abandoned by his mother, Enrique leaves Honduras and travels north to reunite with Lourdes. At the start of the novel, Enrique's mother is saying goodbye..... leaving for the United States. Lourdes, Enrique's mother, leaves him behind.
