Why does Enrique end up leaving his father’s home?

After his mother leaves, Enrique goes to stay with his father. Hasks after his mother everyday, but she does not return. His father remarries and moves out to start a new family. Enrique is left in the care of his paternal grandmother, María Marcos, and eventually grows to hate his father.
