Describe your first impression of one character or one event that you find most interesting .

I find Ethan most interesting. He seems brilliant in terms of mechanics and mechanical engineering yet his life has been squandered on a wife that he despises. I really liked to see Ethan coming out of his shell of sadness when he meets Mattie. We begin to see the light of his real personality glimmer beneath the shadows of his old life. Finally we see Ethan actually take a stand for his life against the heavy weight of his wife's influence.
