I assume you are referring to Dee? When Dee arrives she is wearing an African dress and announces that she has changed her name to Wangero. Her hair is standing straight up in the air with two long pigtails crowning her head. Uncharacteristically, Dee also seems to be marking the moment..... taking endless photographs of a life she couldn't wait to get away from. She also spends an inordinate amount of time fawning over Mama's things..... furniture made by relatives, things stored away in Mama's trunk.... all the things she came for not to use..... but to hold up as cultural treasures.
