What does "heritage" mean to Dee, Maggie, and the mother? Who has the deepest understanding of their heritage?

For Dee, heritage is something you put on the shelf to look at and show off.

For Maggie and her mother.... heritage is a way of life, the things we learn, and the way we live.

Mama has the deepest understanding of heritage.
