Everyday Use by Alice Walker
Dee commodifies all the things that are in her mother's house. She treats the items Moma uses for "everyday use" as artifacts for a cultural display. The polaroids are meant to exploit these items as quaint and primitive rather than essential. This is verry degrading to Mama and Maggie.
