what is the symbolism in this: Montag crosses a ten-lane highway and is almost killed by a car full of children.

While I am sure it is possible to read symbolism into that scene, which I believe is the one on page 127-128 where a "beetle" almost kills him, there does not seem to be a significant amount of symbolism to attribute to it.

The 10 lane highway symbolizes his vast journey ahead of him.
The fact that he almost got killed symbolizes the great risk of this journey.
