Within books are the thoughts and feelings of people. They bring out whole new worlds of feeling and connections with people and situations. These stories are very much a source of vicarious empathy for the reader. Whether it is the Bible or Shakespeare, books open the door to the nature of humanity: they teach feeling and empathy.
