What happens to the librarian

Need a specific name of a character?  Do you mean Faber?  Do you mean Granger, the leader of the Book People?  None of the characters are specifically called librarian.  There is one character that Montag asks Beatty about - they have, the week before, burned his library and Montag wonders what has happened to that man.  Beatty tells him that the man Montag is asking about has been taken to an insane asylum.
