Fahrenheit 451
What is the significance of Montag’s being “fully aware of his entire body”—why is that so unusual for him?
none
none
Montag's world is superficial and desensitized. Sensuality is ignored. People have been taught and encouraged to avoid their senses, and they are stimulated by technology rather than personal contact..... conversation. Seashell radios provide distraction..... noise, and parlour walls replace families. When Montag becomes fully aware of his body he is being stimulated by his environment...... his individuality...... he fully feels his experiences and enters the real world, leaving the world of the mundane behind him.
