Why does Clarisse words get to montag and not others , what's different about his personality ?

The most important quality Montag had that made him receptive to Clarisse's influence was his innate curiosity. The fact that he was so curious and full of questions created his open mind..... the others rarely had a thought and truthfully..... they didn't want to think.
