Who is professor faber

Professor Faber is an aging intellectual in a world with no place for such people, Faber greatly disapproves of the dehumanized, oppressive society in which he lives. However, Faber feels it is safer to live discreetly rather than protest or attempt to change the world.

Professor Faber is a significant character of the book. Montag meets him at a park after which he approaches Faber for understanding texts of a book. And they eventually becomes a good team trying to sneak books in the fire stations itself to slowly make fire stations vanish and people understand the importance of book and the difference between their life and the war zone.
