Do you think that Jeanne would have been able to write Farewell to Manzanar if she had not revisited Manzanar? How did the journey help her find her voice?

I think that the journey re-visiting Manzanar put her past experience in context. Memories were triggered and she was able to interpret her experiences from a place of experience and maturity.
