Inhumanity might be more of a motif, a recurring idea, than a theme. Troy is a complex character and how he treats those closest to him can be seen as examples of inhumanity. Troy is extremely harsh on his son, his wife, and his brother. Much of his inhumanity comes from his own tortured soul but he is still rather cruel.
