In "Three Versions of Judas", through the figure of a young Swedish theologian – fervent religious, but with revolutionary ideas – Borges explores that paradigmatic betrayal that becomes an archetype of all the betrayals that men can commit. As an archetype, Judas becomes the symbol of the universal whistleblower. That is why whistleblowers, snitches or traitors are called "Judas".
