How many times does Dunstan “act” in this chapter?

I think there is a bit of acting all the way through this chapter. I can't give you a number. Dunstan returns to Deptford to receive a hero’s welcome, which begins with a huge parade outside the Opera house. Dunstan realizes the necessity to play the role of the returned war hero but feels little affinity for his old town. He wants to get to Toronto.
