Flowers For Algernon

How has Charlie changed at the end of the story? Is he different from the person he is at the beginning, and if so, how? Do you consider the story’s ending to be tragic or inspiring? Why?

In the end, Charlie's regression is pretty much complete. He's changed a lot over the course of the novel. He's become independent, learned how to love, and learned how to appreciate, receive, and give friendship.
