CHAPTERS 6-7 Elizabeth's Letter from Victor: What do these letter represent?

Elizabeth's letter expresses concern for Victor's well-being and gratitude to Henry for his care. She relates local gossip and recent family events. The family's most trusted servant, Justine Moritz, has returned to the family after being forced to care for her estranged mother until the latter's death.
