How does victor change after reading elizabeths letter to the following summer?
Initially, Victor is besieged with guilt after reading Elizabeth's letter. His family is worried about him, they have no idea about the monster he created, nor the emotional turmoil he's felt since abandoning the monster to its own devices. Over the course of the chapter, Victor spends an extended period of time with Clerval on holiday. Clerval's love of life is infectious, and Victor returns to his old self.
