Victor Frankenstein feels tremendous guilt over Justine’s death. He tortures himself endlessly over the fact that he is, in part, responsible for it. In many ways he feels Justine's murder is more tragic than even William's, “the other far more dreadfully murdered. “ He also calls himself “the murderer of William and Justine.”
